What could I get from using Between?
The aim is to help you feel more confident, find difficult situations less stressful and get more satisfaction from your working life. Practising how you listen, influence, give feedback and support others can strengthen your relationships and help you prepare for greater responsibility or future career opportunities. Between gives you a place to practise those skills, try them at work and learn from what happens.
When should I use Between?
Use Between when you have a real situation where you want to practise an agreed behaviour, such as preparing for a team discussion, giving feedback or trying a different approach. Think it through, rehearse if it helps and choose a small action. Come back afterwards to reflect on what worked and what to try next. Repeated practice helps make those behaviours part of how you work.
How long is my information kept?
The pilot ends on 1 January 2027. Pilot records and accounts are retained for 90 days after that date and scheduled for deletion on 1 April 2027. You can delete practices or your account earlier in Your data. Provider logs, backups and emails have separate arrangements.
Why do I need to acknowledge the information rules?
The introduction explains what Between does, what it stores and who processes it. We record your acknowledgement that you must not enter personal or commercially sensitive information. Once completed, it is remembered against your account, including when you sign in again or use another device. You only need to complete it again if the acknowledgement changes. You can revisit the introduction from Your data without accepting it again. Checks block some sensitive content, but cannot catch everything. Every new reflection you save contributes to automatic theme analysis; you can skip saving.
Who can use Between?
Between is for the members of the coaching group and their coaches. Every account is approved before it can be used, either because your email address was pre-approved or because the reviewer approved your sign-up request.
Who can read my conversations?
Within the app, your practices, actions and reflections are visible to your account alone. Coaches and other participants cannot read them. Hosting and AI services process information to run Between, and technical administration can involve privileged access. Full conversations are stored. Do not enter personal or commercially sensitive information.
What do the coaches see?
Coaches see combined themes generated and checked automatically from saved reflections, with behaviour tags and a question for the next session. Each automatic theme needs at least three different saved reflections supporting the same learning pattern across the whole pilot. These can come from the same participant. Individual reflections and conversations stay hidden from coaches. Automated checks can miss identifying details, so participants must keep their input general.
How do reflections contribute to team learning?
Every reflection you save under the updated information rules contributes automatically. There is no separate private-save or sharing step. The app checks for themes after saves and when a coach opens the report. It holds back themes with insufficient evidence or failed checks. Older reflections are excluded. Deleting a practice removes its support and withdraws affected themes.
How does the companion choose a behaviour?
You describe your situation, and the companion picks up on the behaviour you are practising from the conversation, using the behaviours the group agreed in its coaching contract. You can change its choice or pick yourself at any time.
What if the companion is unavailable?
Between will tell you plainly that the companion is unavailable rather than pretending to work. Your saved practices, actions and reflections remain available either way.
How do I get access?
Ask Lawrence. If your email address is pre-approved you can sign up straight away; otherwise your sign-up request is reviewed and approved before you can use Between.
